Poll Results - All-Ireland Presidency!
I have closed the poll on my sidebar which asked the question:
Should northern nationalists be allowed to vote in Irish presidential elections?
The final results were:
Yes - 54% (13 votes)
No - 46% (11 votes)
United Irelander readers are in favour of allowing the entire island decide the Presidency. It would be interesting to see what the majority of Irish people would favour. I imagine the result would be quite similar.
I think that if we can have as our President a woman who was born north of the border, then we should allow the Irish population north of the border have a say in the Presidency like the rest of the island.
Let's see it happen!
