Friday Fun-News in Brief

In the news this week, a shellfish processing company in west Cork has been found in breach of food safety legislation. A prohibition order has been served against Glenmar Shellfish in Skibbereen which means the sale of a food product from the company has been suspended.

Responding to the news, a source close to the company lashed out at 'dem dirty langers'.

Also in the news, Charlize Theron admitted she is so nervous about making public speeches, she often
relies on alcohol to loosen her up before she steps out.

Hey that's nothing to be ashamed of. I drink alcohol before I speak quite often. For example before work presentations, job interviews, church readings and so forth...

And last but not least, comes the news that a US woman was booted off a flight for wearing a T-shirt with an expletive and images of President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

I think that's ridiculous. I sympathise with her. I myself was once kicked out of a meeting for wearing my 'Where's the beef' t-shirt. Granted it was a meeting for a vegetarian society but still...

And finally, the headlines...
