This is Justice?

I'm sure you have heard all about the latest statement by the IRA in which it said it was prepared to shoot the men blamed for the murder of Robert McCartney.
If you have not read the statement by the Provos it can be read here.

Well I guess capital punishment is acceptable in the "legitimate government of Ireland".I am shocked that the IRA have come up with this statement as it gives an insight into the real dealings of the republican movement and cuts through the republican rhetoric. If the IRA can offer to kill the killers of Robert McCartney, doesn't that mean they know who did it?Can't Sinn Fein therefore use their "influence" as McGuiness calls it, to find out the identities of the killers? This statement offered more questions about the IRA than answers and I think Justice Minister Michael McDowell summed things up pretty when he called the statement "bizarre" and said:

"It's the first time I have seen them admit to a willingness to kill.Their denials of punishment beatings go out the window after this."

They certainly do.I'm sure Mr McDowell is feeling pretty good right now.Remember the abuse he took at the Sinn Fein Ard Fheis when he was compared to Margaret Thatcher and called things like the "Minister of Injustice".Sinn Fein's party members all had a good laugh at Mr McDowell's expense.Well, after this latest statement from the IRA which shows what they believe to be justice, I wonder who's laughing now?
