Did You Hear the Speech, Tony?

The British government has welcomed efforts by Sinn Fein to address the issue of IRA criminality, which has led to the latest deadlock in the peace process.

British Prime Minster Tony Blair's official spokesman said the Ardfheis statements had shown that "Sinn Fein have at least begun to address the concerns".Did Tony actually hear the speech? Here is what Adams said at the Ard Fheis:

"We know that breaking the law is a crime. But we refuse to criminalise those who break the law in pursuit of legitimate political objectives."

In what possible sense are Sinn Fein addressing the issue of IRA criminality?Even the Taoiseach doesn't seem as optimistic as Mr Blair on this issue. You've got it wrong on this one,Tony.
