I have closed the poll on my sidebar which asked the question:
Have the IRA abandoned violence?
The final results were:
Yes - 60% (12 votes)
No - 40% (8 votes)
It appears United Irelander readers are willing to give the Provos the benefit of the doubt as far as decommissioning is concerned.
Hopefully the IRA have indeed abandoned their violence for good but only time will tell.
