Hello Mary Lou...It's Big Brother
Sinn Féin says it will vigorously oppose the introduction of compulsory identity cards in both the Republic and the North.
The party's MEP Mary Lou McDonald said today that the cards would "greatly increase the power of the state over the individual".
Ms McDonald continued saying that the only ones allowed to keep tabs on individuals were the Provos. (may not be true)
