Turkish bomb blast kills Irish student
An Irish student, believed to have been in her 20s, and a British holidaymaker were among five people killed in the popular tourist resort of Kusadasi, in Turkey, this morning.
The bomb exploded on a minibus while it was ferrying tourists to a local beach.
The Irish woman's identity has not yet been released.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dermot Ahern, has condemned the attack and has called on Turkish authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.
This is tragic and disgraceful. My thoughts and prayers are with the familes of those who have lost loved ones. I echo Dermot Ahern's call that the Turkish authorities work to bring the scum who committed this atrocity to justice.
