Death of Irish citizen confirmed
It's been confirmed that 22-year-old Irishman Ciaran Cassidy died in one of the tube explosions in London last week.
Mr Cassidy, who held an Irish passport, lived with his parents in Finsbury Park and died in the Russell Square Tube bomb. Mr Cassidy's mother is orginally from Enniskillen - his father is from Cavan.
This is very sad news indeed. Obviously, the bombings were tragic regardless of the nationalities of the victims but my heart goes out to the man's family.
We must show solidarity with our friends across the Irish sea and we must acknowledge the very real danger that these terrorists pose.
