Is he a Guard or a lawyer?
Pretty soon the Guards will end up with a worse reputation than the one lawyers have.
Under new legislation which came into effect on Tuesday, gardaí will have to account for all of their actions on duty.
However, the Garda Representative Association said it was concerned about aspects of the new law and President Dermot O'Donnell suggested the obligation on officers to account for their actions on duty may be unconstitutional.
Unconstitutional? Give over O'Donnell. I think this is disgraceful stuff. There's nothing wrong with increased accountability and the GRA President should realise that.
Who knew Dermot O'Donnell cared so much about the constitution? Gimme a break...
