Friday Fun-News in Brief

According to polls in the US state, Arnold Schwarzenegger is likely to lose his position as California Governor if he stands for reelection next year.

Aw geez, really? And we all thought he would do so well...

Opposition leaders have attacked the Government today over its refusal to reduce the length of the Dáil's annual three-month summer break. The Dáil is due to close for the summer today, with TDs not due back in the house until the end of September.

Well in fairness they deserve it seeing as they work so hard for us throughout the rest of the year! Have fun you crazy scamps!

Fifty-six staff are staging a sit-in at a Co Offaly nursing home, claiming they haven't been paid in three weeks. Nurses and staff at the home said they were willing to stay there as long as it takes in order to get paid.

The sit-in is understandably causing some concern. It's not known how the old folks will have their potatoes mashed for them and, for the forseeable future at least, all bingo games have been cancelled.
