Not a Securocrat in Sight

I see Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams has decided to suspend seven members of the party due to alleged involvement in the murder of Belfast man Robert McCartney.

In a statement, Mr Adams said the seven, who were named in a list given to him by the McCartney family, had been instructed to provide full and frank statements about the killing.

Mr Adams said he had given the full list of names to a solicitor to pass on to the Police Ombudsman, Nuala O'Loan.

Amazing what a bit of pressure can do,eh?Adams is clearly bracing himself for the criticism that will come leading up to St Patrick's Day.One thing puzzles me though. How is it that Sinn Fein can criticise the two governments for blaming the Northern Bank raid on them, all the while bemoaning the "lack of evidence" and yet, at the same time, suspend seven members of their party due to "alleged" involvement?Hypocrisy from the Shinners?Surely not!
