UI's Celtic Mythology - Cynon
Cynon, according to a late Arthurian myth, was a knight who encountered a black man with one foot and one eye, and bearing a large wooden club. This Fomorii-like fighter, doubtless a cousin of the violent and mishapen Irish sea gods, ordered Cynon to go to a fountain and fill with water a silver bowl that he would find there, and then to throw the water against a marble slab. Sir Cynon did as he was instructed and a Black Knight appeared to the sound of thunder and the singing of magic birds. Sir Cynon then fought this mysterious opponent but was defeated.
This is an interesting tale involving the mysterious Black Knight. I hope to write about what happens to the Black Knight tomorrow.
