UI agrees with DUP man shocker!
The following well-written and bang-on-the-money letter, entitled 'Bin the OTR legislation', appeared in the Belfast Telegraph and was written by DUP Assembly Member Robin Newton (pictured left). Astonishingly I agree with every word of it.Mr Newton writes...
"All political parties in Northern Ireland now oppose the loathsome on-the-runs legislation, following Sinn Fein/IRA's dramatic turnaround.
"Only Tony Blair is openly insisting on special legislation to deal with the problem. His attitude undermines the legal process and discourages the forces of law and order in going about their business of bringing terrorists before the courts.
"The normal progression of law should be allowed to take its course and wrong-doers, from whatever background, should be subject to the full rigour of the law.
In the interests of good Government this nefarious piece of legislation should be binned.

I couldn't have put it better myself! Well said, Mr Newton!
It's high time that this disgraceful legislation, which ALL the North's political parties now oppose, got consigned to the scrapheap of history!
