Another Triple Crown for the Irish
I'd like to express my delight at the Irish rugby team notching up their third Triple Crown in four years, after narrowly defeating Scotland 19-18 at Murrayfield.
It certainly wasn't pretty to watch nor was it easy on the nerves but we got the right result in the end to go along with our victories over the Welsh and English.
Well done to the Scottish team too for putting in a very gutsy performance. My heart sank when they went into the lead and I feared we might bottle it but thankfully we were able to hang on.
Great to see so many Irish fans at Murrayfield as well. They gave fantastic support.
It's truly a pleasure to witness this Irish team perform. They're arguably the greatest set of players we've ever had.
Well done boys - You answered Ireland's call
In the other match from the Six Nations championship Italy pulled off a shock result by beating Wales 23-20. I'm sure that will have made the Italians very happy.
Of course the Six Nations championship is not over yet and Ireland could still win the tournament provided the English do us a favour by beating France on Sunday.
I'll be cheering them on and hopefully they'll give Anglo-Irish relations yet another boost!
Come on England!
Update: Well the English did the job and defeated the French 26-18. That means Ireland's championship hopes remain very much alive. Good job England!
One of their star players was one Shane Geraghty. With a name like that he should be playing for us! Apparently his parents are Irish. Too bad we don't have him as he looked super but I'm confident we can go on and defeat the Italians convincingly next week. Come on you boys in green...
