Top Ten Tuesday-Irish Players

Since there's an absolutely crucial game taking place tomorrow between the Faroe Islands and Ireland, I thought for this week's edition of Top Ten Tuesday I would name the ten greatest players in the current Irish team. Pay attention Mr. Kerr! So without further ado:

1. Roy Keane - The living legend. The heart and soul of the Irish team. A sporting hero.
2. Damien Duff - Helped Chelsea to win the Premiership and one of the most exciting talents Ireland has ever produced. Inspirational.
3. Robbie Keane - A massive player for us as Saturday proved. Has socred 25 goals for his country and will be a big loss for Wednesday.
4. Shay Given - Has saved Ireland on countless occasions and is a major player for the team.
5. Kenny Cunningham - Ireland's best defender and Mr. Reliable. When he doesn't play the defence looks very shaky.
6. Andy Reid - Another exciting talent and created the goal for Robbie Keane on Tuesday. He was unlucky to be taken off on Saturday.
7. Matt Holland - The best partner for Roy Keane in midfield. Has scored some big goals for Ireland and has a smart football brain.
8. Clinton Morrisson - Still needs to do more to win over the fans completely but he has scored some important goals and remains the best partner for Robbie Keane up front.
9. Stephen Carr - He's a quality full-back and remains a better option than Finnan due to his strengths going forward.
10. Andy O'Brien - Is the best choice to partner Cunningham in defence and was unlucky to be given a red card against Israel. Has been solid for Ireland.

So there you have it. Feel free to comment on my choices or to offer your own.
